Antone’s Turns Up the Heat with H-E-B’s Hatch Green Chile Festival

This Hatch season was an extra special one for Antone’s Famous Po’ Boys! In partnership with H-E-B and its annual Hatch Green Chile Festival, we introduced something we hadn’t done in nearly 20 years—a brand-new Antone’s SKU at H-E-B.

Meet the Hatch Green Chile Chicken & Cheddar Po’ Boy, a limited-time sandwich created especially for Hatch season. Featuring chicken, cheddar cheese, and the unmistakable flavor of Hatch green chiles, the new Po’ Boy brought a seasonal Texas twist to the Antone’s lineup shoppers have known and loved for decades.

And it was a hit! We loved seeing H-E-B shoppers embrace the new flavor and add the Hatch Green Chile Chicken & Cheddar to their carts throughout the festival. Introducing a new SKU after nearly two decades was an exciting milestone for Antone’s and made even more special by getting to celebrate alongside one of our longtime retail partners.

For more than 60 years, Antone’s has been a Texas tradition, and partnerships like this give us the opportunity to honor that history while continuing to create something new for our customers. The Hatch Green Chile Chicken & Cheddar Po’ Boy brought together two things Texans know well: Antone’s Po’ Boys and Hatch chile season.
